This third edition was withdrawn in 2023 and replaced by the fourth edition. The Tanker Safety Guide (Liquefied Gas) is the definitive industry best practice guidance for gas carrier operators, and a carriage requirement under the national regulations of many flag States.

Training Requirements for Personnel on Ships Subject to the IGF Code

Provides information and guidance on the special training requirements for personnel on ships subject to the IGF Code. Assists shipowners and operators with preparations for compliance with the International Code of Safety for Ships Using Gases or Other Low-flashpoint Fuels (IGF Code) and the associated training and certification requirements in the STCW Convention.

Ballast Water Management – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships' Ballast Water and Sediments, 2004 (BWM Convention) entered into force on 8 September 2017. These FAQs are intended to raise awareness regarding key aspects of the BWM Convention (as well as relevant United States requirements) and assist in achieving compliance.
